Khorana Program for Scholars: Apply by Nov 30
Kochi: Applications are invited from eligible candidates for Khorana Program for Scholars named in honor of Dr. Har Gobind Khorana, who won the Nobel Prize in 1968 for this work at the interface of Chemistry and Biology while a member of the University of Wisconsin-Madoson faculty.
The Department of Biotechnology (DBT), Govt. of India, Indo-US Science and Technology Forum(IUSSTF) and WINStep Forward are partnering to support the programme. The Khorana Program will provide opportunoties to Indian students to undertake research at leading US universities over Summer 2017 for a period of 1012 weeks. Scholarship includes stipend, airfare and health insurance.
Pre-final year B.Tech, M.Tech, M.Sc., M.B.B.S, and B.Pharm students currently enrolled in recognized institutions of higher education in India in the areas of Biotechnology (broadly defined, including agricultural, health, fundamental biological and biomedical sciences) are eligible to apply. Students pursuing PhD are NOT eligible to apply.
