Thiruvananthapuram: The board examination for Class 10 and 12 in the state will begin on Thursday. The VHSE exams will begin on Friday. More than 9 lakh students will write the exams.
The SSLC exams will end on April 29 while HSE and VHSE exams will end on April 26. 4,22,226 students will attempt the SSLC exams in 2947 centres. Among them 2,15,660 are boys and 2,06,566 girls. In gulf countries 9 centres are allotted where 573 students will write the exams while 627 students will attempt the exams in 9 centres in Lakshadweep.
In case of HSE exams, 4,46,471 students will write the exams in 2004 centres in state. 2,26,325 students are boys and 2,20,146 are girls.
27,000 students will write the VHSE exams.
VKMMHSS Edarikode in Tirurangadi has the most number of students writing the exam (2076).
2889 students will write the THSLC exam in 48 centres.
The SSLC exams will begin at 1.40 pm on Thursday and Monday and then on Friday the exams will begin at 2.40 pm. From April 15 to 29, the exams will begin at 9.40 am due to the Ramzan fasting.
The HSE and VHSE exams will start at 9.40 am.
The general education department has instructed to conduct the exams following Covid protocol. Students should wear face masks and use sanitisers. The body temperature should be checked at the exam centres. Exchange of pens and instrument boxes will not be allowed.
If any Covid positive student is writing the exam, it should be informed to health department. The student and invigilator should wear PPE kit. Sanitised corridors will be arranged for quarantined students.
Water and soap will be arranged at the entrance of the exam centres. AC halls will not be allowed for examinations.
