KEAM rank list published, Kottayam native Varun KS bags first rank
Thiruvananthapuram: The rank list for admissions to Engineering/Pharmacy courses through Kerala Engineering Architecture Medical (KEAM) 2020 entrance examination, was released on Thursday.

53,236 candidates were shortlisted in the list published on Thursday.
Kottayam native Varun KS bagged the first rank in the examination. Kannur native Govind TK and Malappuram native Niyas Mon P secured second and third ranks respectively.
Thrissur native Akshay Muraleedharan secured first rank in the pharmacy entrance examination.
A total of 13 girls and 87 boys were placed among the first 100 rank holders. Among them, 66 candidates cleared the exam in the first chance. Meanwhile, other 34 candidates were attending the exam in their second attempt.

KEAM 2020 for admission to various professional degree courses, was successfully held across the state and in centres in Mumbai, New Delhi and Dubai on July 16. The examination was conducted in two sessions – forenoon and afternoon.
Students were frisked with metal detectors, thermal scanners were used. Candidates were provided with fresh masks along with the question papers. Disinfection of the exam centre was done before and after the exam.
Commissioner for Entrance Examinations Kerala, had on September 9, published the score of candidates who appeared for the KEAM 2020.
Of the 71,742 students who appeared for both the papers of the Engineering Entrance Examination, 56,599 students had qualified under Engineering Stream and 44,390 students had qualified under Pharmacy stream out of the 52,145 students opted and appeared for the Pharmacy Entrance Examination (Paper I of the Engineering Entrance Examination).
The results of 2,094 candidates under Engineering/Pharmacy stream were withheld for various reasons.
