JEE Main Results on Wednesday
Kochi : The results of JEE Main exam 2016 will be published on 27th April, it is learnt. The scheduled date of publication of JEE Main result is 27th April. The Central Board of Secondary Education has confirmed this date. After the formal declaration of results by the CBSE candidates will be able to log on the official websites i.e., http://www.cbse.nic.in, http://www.jeemain.nic.in and get their CBSE JEE Main Result 2016.
This year, the CBSE has taken into consideration the complaints of the anxious candidates, who suffer from technical problems and undue delay, while trying to access their JEE Main Result 2016 on result portals.
Students will be able to check their CBSE JEE Main 2016 Result by simply logging on the aforementioned websites and submitting their JEE Main Application Number / Roll Number and password along with Date of birth. Students are advised to keep all the necessary information like JEE Main 2016 Roll No, Date of birth and other personal details ready beforehand, in order to beat the heavy traffic.
The JEE Main 2016 Result is declared in two phases every year. In the first phase, JEE Main 2016 score for individual candidates will be issued by the board through its website. The JEE Main Score is determined on the basis of the official JEE Main 2016 Answer Keys released by the board earlier this month. On the basis of JEE Main 2016 score, around two lakh candidates will be shortlisted for the IIT-JEE Advanced 2016 Examination, scheduled to be held on 22 May 2016.
After the completion of JEE Advanced Exam 2016, the CBSE will begin the process of announcing All India Rank for JEE Main 2016, which will mark the beginning of the second phase of JEE Main Admission Process. Tentatively, CBSE has declared 30 June 2016 as the probable date for the declaration of JEE Main 2016 Rank. Final admission to different engineering colleges will take place on the basis of JEE Main Rank through counselling process.
Admission criteria to Undergraduate Engineering Programs at NITs, IIITs, Other Centrally Funded Technical Institutions, Institutions funded by participating State Governments, and other Institutions shall include the performance in the class 12/equivalent qualifying Examination and in the Joint Entrance Examination, JEE (Main). The Paper-1 (B. E./B. Tech.) of JEE (Main) will also be an eligibility test for the JEE (Advanced), which the candidate has to take if he/she is aspiring for admission to the undergraduate programmes offered by the IITs. JEE Advanced will be held on 22nd May 2016.
The States of Gujarat, Nagaland, Madhya Pradesh, Haryana, Punjab, Uttarakhand and Odisha have joined JEE (Main) system. Altogether around 12 lakh students wrote the JEE Main offline on April 3 and online on 9th and 10th April 2016.
