JEE Advanced 2019 to be held on May 19
The date of Joint Entrance Examination (JEE) Advanced 2019 conducted for the admission to the Integrated Masters, Dual Degree programmes was announced. It will be conducted on May 19 by Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Roorkee.
The exam is held in computer-based mode with 2 papers since last year. There are 2 compulsory papers with a duration of 3 hours each. Paper I is at 9 am – 12 pm and Paper II is at 2 pm – 5 pm.
Each paper will have questions from Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics. The admission to the programmes include BTech, BS, BArch, Dual Degree BTech – Mtech, Dual Degree BS – MS, Integrated Mtech and Integrated MS.
Those who qualify JEE (Main) exam conducted by National Testing Agency (NTA) and come within top 2 lakh ranks are eligible to write JEE Advanced.
Aspirants can make up to two attempts in two consecutive years. The registration process would begin in May for the exam.
The admission will be to the IITs including Bombay, Delhi, Madras, Kanpur, Kharagpur, Guwahati, Roorkee, Dhanbad, Varanasi, Bhilay, Bhuvaneshwar, Dharwad, Gandhinagar, Goa, Hyderabad, Indore, Jammu, Jodhpur, Mandi, Palakkad, Patna, Ropar and Tirupati. Apart from IITs many other institutions also conduct admissions considering the JEE Advanced score.
