Impersonation: Students asked to write exams again
Kozhikode: In the case relating to teacher impersonating and writing exams for students, the education department has directed the students to write the exams again. The department asked the students to write the exams along with the SAY exam. However, the parents of the students said they cannot accept the directive.
The higher officials of the department of Higher Secondary education summoned the students for interrogation on Tuesday in the morning.
The students stated that they had no idea on the teacher writing the exam. As the incident came to light, the department blocked the exam results of the three students.
The interrogation is under progress. The higher Secondary Joint Director Dr SS Vivekanandan, regional Deputy Director Gokulakrishnan and superintendent Aparna have recorded the statement of the students.
On Monday, regional Deputy Director Gokulakrishnan field a complaint with Mukkom police regarding the incident. Teacher Nishad V Muhammed, principal K Rasiya of Neeleswaram HSS in Mukkam and PK Fizal at Chendamangalam Higher Secondary School have been booked. They were earlier suspended from service.
Police charged non-bailable offence against three teachers in connection with the incident. The three were booked for impersonation and production of fake documents under IPC 419,420,465 and 468.
A departmental inquiry against the teachers will commence on Wednesday.
