New Delhi: IIT Madras was ranked first in Ministry of Human Resources and Development’s national ranking of higher institutes. IISc Bangalore bagged the second spot while IIT Delhi secured the third place.
Of the top 10 institutes, seven are IITs. JNU was placed at the seventh spot.
AIIMS was ranked first among medical sciences institutes and National Law School, Bangalore topped the list of law colleges.
IIM Bangalore secured the first place among management institutes.
Delhi University's Miranda House topped HRD's national ranking of colleges while St Stephen's was ranked at fourth place.
Jamia Hamdard was selected as the best pharmacy institute.
The HRD Ministry has been publishing the National Institutional Ranking Framework (NIRF) since 2016.
