New Delhi: The Indian Institute of Technology Bombay announced the dates for GATE 2021. The Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering or GATE will be held between February 5-7 and February 12-13. It is scheduled to be conducted in two shifts – forenoon shift from 9:30-12:30 am and afternoon shift to be conducted from 2:30-5:30 pm.
Making a few changes to the exam, two new subjects were introduced. Environmental Science and Engineering (ES) and Humanities and Social Sciences (XS) enabling the students from Humanities and Social sciences background to take the test. With this the total number of subjects for GATE went up to 27.
Meanwhile, the eligibility criteria to appear for the exam also has been relaxed. Apart from final year students and those graduated, third year undergraduate students will also be eligible to appear for GATE.
Also, unlike previous years, Students applying for GATE 2021 can opt for two subject papers from the prescribed set of combinations.
