Hospitality JEE on April 27th: Applications from January 15
Joint Entrance Examination (JEE) for admission to the 3 years, 6 semesters, B.Sc (Hospitality and Hotel Administration Program), being conducted in more than 63 Institutes of Hotel Management (IHM- Govt. as well as Private) affiliated to the National Council for Hotel Management and Catering Technology (NCHMCT), an autonomous body under Ministry of Tourism, Govt. of India, A-34, Sector 62, Noida, Uttar Pradesh-201309, on 27th April, 2019 (Saturday).
The Entrance Examination will be held in the on-line mode at more than 33 cities all over India by the National Testing Agency (NTA), a Central Government Agency, created by the Ministry of HRD, Govt. of India, to conduct all major Entrance Examination in the Country will hold
The exam of 3 hours duration will have questions from (i) Numerical Ability and Analytical Aptitude (30 questions) (ii) Reasoning and Logical Deduction (30) (iii) General Knowledge & Current Affairs (30) (iv) English Language (60) and (v) Aptitude for Service Sector (50)
Applications for the NCHM JEE 2019 can be submitted online at https://www.nta.ac.in from 15th January 2019.
‘Only Vegetarian’ practical option in the B.Sc.(HHA) Program will also be available in all the affiliated IHMs for which the candidate has to opt Veg Practical only, when joining the allotted Institute after admission.
There is a direct admission scheme for the rank holders of School boards, who are Indian Nationals (other than NRI and PIO). Each IHM will have three seats, one each for Arts, Science and Commerce streams, earmark for 10+2 rank holders, from among 1st to 200th rank holders from respective streams from recognized Boards of school examination wherein up to 2 lakh candidates appear or 1st to 500th rank holders from Board of Examination where 2 lakh to 5 lakh candidates take examination. They need not to appear in the NCHM JEE.
There is also a scheme for direct admission of Foreign Nationals (FN), Non Resident Indians (NRI) and Person of Indian Origin (PIO or Overseas Citizen of India) students.
