Health Uty cancels admisssion in 2SF MCs
Kochi: In another important development, the Kerala University of Health Sciences has today cancelled the MBBS admission made by Kannur Medical College and Karuna Medical College for 2016-17. The decision is taken following the direction of Admission Supervisory Committee.
On 2 October 2016, the James Committee cancelled the MBBS admission made by Kannur Medical College and Karuna Medical College as they fail to adhere to the directives issued by the Committee while admitting students.
The KUHS has also made it clear that the University will permit only those candidates who have been allotted by the Commissioner for Entrance Examinations. "The students allotted by the Commissioner of Entrance Examinations only will be permitted to register in the University," the order stated.
Meanwhile, the CEE had begun option registration for allotment in Kannur MC, Karuna MC and KMCT. Vacant seats in other self-financing medical colleges are also included in this allotment. The CEE will publish the final allotment on 6 October 2016 based on the options registered till 5 pm, 5 October 2016. The total intake of Karuna Medical College is 100 and that of Kannur MC is 150.
