examNational Testing Agency (NTA) will hold the Computer based, Graduate Pharmacy Aptitude Test 2019 (GPAT-2019), for admission to M. Pharma or its equivalent courses across the country, from 2.30 p.m. to 5.30 p.m. on January 28, 2019 (Monday).

GPAT Score will be accepted by around 800 participating Pharmacy institutes, including all AICTE approved institutions, Universities and Colleges. Those interested in admissions must apply separately to the desired GPAT-2019 participating institutes with the GPAT Score 2019 and participate in their admission process, details of which may be obtained from the respective website.

Test Pattern: GPAT is an online computer-based test of 3 hours duration with 125 objective type questions. Syllabus for the test is given at https://ntagpat.nic.in/. Each correct answer will get 4 marks. Each wrong answer will result in loss of 1 mark. At the test Centre, each candidate will be seated at a desk with a computer terminal and he/she will be provided with rough papers for calculations and a pen/pencil. After the test, candidate must leave the rough papers at the desk. Rough work cannot be done on any other paper/sheet, as nothing will be allowed inside the examination room/hall. The medium of Question Paper shall be in English only. The Centres (Cities) where the GPAT-2019 will be conducted are given in Appendix-1 of the Information Brochure that can be downloaded from https://ntagpat.nic.in/. Applicants have to select any four cities of their choice, while applying.

After the GPAT-2019 examination, NTA will display Answer Keys & recorded responses of multiple-choice questions at https://ntagpat.nic.in/ on dates to be announced later. Those not satisfied with the answer keys and recorded responses, may challenge by filling online application form and paying a processing charge of Rs.1000/- per question. The processing charge can be paid by credit/debit card/Net banking.

Eligibility: Applicant must be a citizen of India and must hold a Bachelor’s degree in Pharmacy (4 years after 10+2, including lateral entry students) or equivalent from a recognized university. Those appearing for the final year of Bachelor’s degree, B. Pharmacy (10+2+4) whose result will be declared before commencement of admission for academic year 2019-20 can also apply for GPAT-2019. B.Tech. (Pharmaceutical and Fine Chemical Technology)/ equivalent candidates are not eligible to apply.

There is no age limit for appearing in GPAT-2019.

Application: Application can be submitted online at https://ntagpat.nic.in/ up to 11.50 p.m on 30.11.2018. Application can be submitted in 4 steps: (i) Register for Online Application Form and get system generated Application Number (ii) Complete the Application Form (iii) Upload Scanned Images of applicant’s Photograph and Signature (iv) Pay application fee by Debit/Credit Card/Net Banking/e-Challan. Steps can be done together or at different times.

Uploading of the scanned images of applicant’s Photograph and signature can be done up to 11.50 p.m. on 1.12.2018.

Application Fee: Application Fee is Rs.1400/- for males of General and OBC NCL categories. For Females and SC/ST/PwD/Transgender, the application fee is Rs.700/-. Fee can be paid through Credit/Debit Card/ Net Banking up to 11.50 p.m. and through e-challan up to bank hours on 1.12.2018.

Applicants should check the status of fee payment at NTA website https://ntagpat.nic.in/.  If the status is ‘OK’, applicant will be able to take the printout of Confirmation Page.

Admit Cards can be printed from NTA’s website from 07.01.2019.

Result Declaration will be made on NTA’s website by 8th February, 2019. Score card has to be downloaded from https://ntagpat.nic.in/.
