Thiruvananthapuram: Fees for entrance to self-financing medical colleges in Kerala for this year has been decided. The fees will be between Rs 5.85 lakh and Rs 7.19 lakh as decided by a committee chaired by justice Rajendra Babu.
The committee rejected the fee structure demanded by managements. However, it hiked the fees by Rs 50,000 compared to the previous year.
Managements responded that they were disappointed with the new fee structure. A case to decide fees for self-financing medical colleges will be taken up by the Supreme Court on Tuesday.
Managements are expecting a decision in their favour.
