Failed first-year MBBS students have to repeat year: NMC
Thrissur: MBBS students who failed the first year exam and also the supplementary exam will not be promoted to the second year, said the National Medical Commission (NMC).
Students of Dr NT Rama Rao University of Health Sciences, Andhra Pradesh, had approached the NMC seeking a change in the rule. The NMC reiterated the stand of the now discontinued Medical Council.
The students had first approached the high court. However, the court ruled against the plea. The students have to attend the first-year classes once again.
