Entrance for MS/MSc programs in Cognitive Science - COGJET on February 15
Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Kanpur has invited applications for the Cognitive Science Joint Entrance Test (COGJET)-2020.
COGJET 2020 will be used as a selection criterion for admissions to MS/MSc programs in Cognitive Science at IIT Kanpur, Centre for Behavioural and Cognitive Sciences (CBCS) Allahabad, Chandigarh University, IIIT Hyderabad, IIT Delhi, and Panjab University and the PhD program at IIT Kanpur.
Institutes participating in the COGJET exam will use the COGJET score of candidates, to shortlist them for selection to their respective programs. However, each institution may have other additional eligibility requirements for admission. The details of the full admission procedure and how COGJET will be used will be available on the websites of the respective institutions. Those interested in admissions must also apply to the institutions separately, as advised in program-specific application instructions.
Eligibility: Applicant should have completed their 3 or 4 year Under Graduate degree, or should be expecting to finish their degree by June 2020.
Test Structure: COGJET will be held from 10 am to 1 pm on 15th February 2020 (Saturday) at Delhi, Mumbai, Chennai, Kolkata, Hyderabad, Bengaluru, Guwahati, Chandigarh, Kanpur, Allahabad. The test will have multiple choice questions in 2 parts, with equal weightage for both parts. Both parts will have negative marking. Part A will be section on General aptitude and will have questions from Quantitative, reasoning, reading comprehension and data interpretation. Part B will be the section on Conceptual understanding with questions from Basic undergraduate level mathematics, statistics and algorithms concepts, foundational principles of psychology, neuroscience, linguistics and philosophy. Application: Applications can be submitted till 23:59 hours on 31st December 2019 (Tuesday) at https://oag.iitk.ac.in/cogjet/. Test fee is Rs.500/- for SC/ST, OBC (Non-creamy layer), female, PwD and Rs.750/- for all others. It can be paid through the payment gateway while filling the application form. Admit Card can be downloaded from 3rd February, 2020.
