Thiruvananthapuram: The Education Department has instructed teachers in the state to return to schools from December 17. Teachers of classes 10 and 12 have been asked to return to schools with 50 percent attendance.
The arrangements are being made in such a way that students of classes 10 and 12 will return to schools from January. The decision was taken at a meeting attended by the Education Minister and the Public Education Secretary.
50 percent of the teachers teaching in classes 10 and 12 will have to return to school from December 17. After this, a decision regarding revision classes and practical classes will be taken.
The digital classes will have to be finished within January 15 for class 10 students and January 30 for class 12 students. Revision classes and practical classes will be held after this. This will be held at the schools. The arrangements for the same are being held now.
