For admissions to M.Phil/Ph.D/Diploma programmes in CUSAT, candidates should not apply online through this portal. The application for these courses will be available from the Departments concerned.)
For MBA, the score of C-MAT (AICTE) or K-MAT (KERALA) or CAT (IIM) is compulsory.
Selection to all the PG and UG Programmes except M.Phil., Ph.D., and Diploma will be based on the Common Admission Test (CAT) to be held by the University.
Application: Online Registration for the Common Admission Test (CAT) for all PG and UG Programmes except M.Phil., Ph.D., and Diploma can be done till 21.2.2019 at www.admissions.cusat.ac.in without fine and till 28.2.2019 with fine.
Application Fees for various categories of seats / applicants are listed below: For those opting for State Merit/All India Quota seats (other than NRI/International/PIO/Children of Indian Gulf Workers): Rs.1,000/- (Rs.500/- for Kerala SC/Kerala ST candidates); For seats reserved for International Candidates/PIO: US$ 100; For candidates belonging to Children of Indian Gulf Workers (CGW) category – Rs.6000/-. In case of CGW candidates belonging to KSC/KST fees is Rs.5500/- ; For candidates (except CGW candidates) opting for NRI Seats: Additional Rs.5,000/- in addition to the fees specified. CGW candidates who wish to apply under NRI category need not pay any additional amount. For all category of Candidates opting for Dubai/Abu Dhabi/Sharjah as Test Centre: Additional fee of Rs.10,000/- over and above their respective Application Fee. In case there is no sufficient number of candidates in these Centres, the Centres will be cancelled or merged. For PhD and M Phil Programmes: Rs. 1,000/- (Rs.500/- for Kerala SC/ST Candidates) to be remitted by way of Demand Draft drawn in favour of The Registrar, CUSAT payable at Ernakulam Campus Branch and to be submitted to the respective Departments/Schools where the candidate intend to apply for M Phil / Ph D Programme to obtain the Application Forms. For Postdoctoral Fellowships, Diploma and Certificate Programmes:Rs.100/- (Rs.50/- for Kerala SC/ST Candidates) to be remitted by way of Demand Draft drawn in favour of the Registrar, CUSAT payable at Ernakuulam and to be submitted to the respective Departments/Schools where the candidate intend to apply for the Programme to obtain the Application Forms.
Remittance of fee (online only) can be done till 1.3.2019. Online Registration for seats reserved for international candidates can be done till 30.4.2019. Extended period for online registration to M.Tech programmes will be from 15.3.2019 to 21.4.2019 and with fine, up to 30.4.2019.
Issuance and receipt of applications for Ph. D, M.Phil, Diploma Programmes etc., from the Department/Schools/ Centres concerned will be till 31/03/2019.
Registration process: Online Registration for Academic Admission 2019-20 is a multi step process.
Step 1 – Registration: Applicant should click on ‘New Candidate Registration’ button and submit details. After submitting the details, an activation link will be sent to the email address provided. On clicking the activation link (obtained in the email inbox), the user account will be activated. The user name will be candidate’s email address. Applicant has to set a password.
Step 2 – Personal Details and Reservation: Click Start Registration button. Fill all the Personal details required in the form.
Step 3 – Photo and Signature: Applicant should upload a recent passport size photograph with well lit face clearly visible, in portrait orientation. The maximum file size of photograph should be more than 500kb. The dimensions of the photo should be 150px x 180px. Applicant should also upload a scanned image of his/her signature, in landscape orientation, with a maximum size not greater than 100kb. The dimensions should be 130px x 57px. The image format can be .png or .jpg or .jpeg.
STEP 4 – Course Selection: Applicant has to select the programme or combination of programmes from the dropdown list. Next, applicant has to select the qualification which you are going to acquire or already acquired. On the basis of the qualification selected by you, the list of programmes available in the University will be listed. The candidate should add the course(s), he/she wish to apply, to the right side list box using select button. Then click “Select Courses” button. After confirming courses, the details of Test subjects will be displayed. If multiple test options are available, the candidate need to select appropriate one from the options displayed, based on the candidates qualification
MBA applicants should enter their respective scores in the column provided. Please note that for both MBA programmes (Full Time and Part Time) a single rank list will be prepared. MTech applicants may have multiple valid GATE score. These candidate should enter their best score in the column provided. For MTech admission preference will be given to the candidate with valid GATE score. MTech (Non GATE) candidates should attend a Department Admission Test (DAT) conducted by the department concerned, which will be conducted if sufficient number of GATE candidates are not available.
STEP 5 – Short Preview: After submitting course details, a short preview will be available. Candidate should check the short preview carefully. In case any change, go to the required page and save for changes, if any. after confirming short preview, editing will not be allowed.
STEP 6 – Payment: After confirming the preview, online payment to be made. Payment can be made through all Credit Card, all Debit Card or Net banking of almost all Banks.
STEP 7 – Centre selection: After successful completion of payment, the list of available centres will be displayed. The candidate should select one of the test centres where seats available. In the case of MBA and M.Tech applicants, there will not be any common admission test.
After Centre Selection a final preview will be displayed and candidate can go to his/her home page. Then wait for the approval from the University. It will take at least two working days. After the approval candidate can download the confirmation page from the candidate home page. The status of candidate can be viewed at the candidate home page. If university is asking for any corrections, please rectify the case as per the instructions appearing on the Candidate home page. Applicant should take a print out of the confirmation page and keep custody for future requirements. Applicants are not required to sent any documents to the University, unless requested from the University.
Downloading of Admit Cards can be done from 20.3.2019 to 7.4.2019. Computer Based Test will be conducted on 6th and 7th April 2019. Details are given in the Prospectus.
