CSIR Grants for Coronavirus/COVID studies: Apply by April 5
Council of Scientific and Industrial Research (CSIR) has invited proposals under two schemes for fighting Corona Virus and the COVID Epidemic.
Under the first scheme, proposals can be submitted by Industry/ start ups. Companies should have been registered in India and with more than 50% Indian share holding. If the Indian share holding is less than 50%, the company should have manufacturing facilities India.
Proposals can be submitted as a standalone one or in partnership with academic institutions and/ or national laboratories.

Under the second scheme, proposals are invited from CSIR laboratories to develop cost effective, rapid diagnostics to test COVID cases on mass scale. If need be, help from external institutions / industries may be taken in outsourcing mode.
