Waste to Wealth Mission, under the ‘Swachh Bharat Unnat Bharat’ Programme of Government of India, working to identify technology solutions for India’s waste challenges, has invited entries for the ‘COVID-19 Biomedical Waste Treatment: An Innovation Challenge’.
The mission has invited technology applications from startups, corporates and entrepreneurs from research institutions that can propose innovations & solutions which can be deployed immediately to address the challenge of safe collection, disposal/ treatment of large volumes of waste being generated during the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic.
Wastes may be generated by the use of masks, gloves, and PPEs by frontline workers, airports, railway stations as well as by household community individuals including sanitary municipal workers, food business and the general population.
Selected applicants will be provided suitable fiscal support to demonstrate their prototype.
