CMAT on 28 January: Apply by November 30
The Common Management Admission Test 2019 (CMAT 2019) to be conducted by the National Testing Agency (NTA), for admission to various management programs across the country, will be held in two shifts, on 28th January-2019. CMAT will be held as a computer based test (CBT) with the first shift from 9.30 a.m. to 12.30 p.m and the second, from, 2.30 p.m to 5.30 p.m.
Test Pattern: CMAT will have 25 questions (multiple choice) each from Quantitative Techniques and Data Interpretation; Logical Reasoning; Language Comprehension; & General Awareness. Each correct answer will get 4 marks and for each wrong answer 1 mark shall be deducted. The medium of Question Paper will be English.
At the test centre, each candidate will be seated at a desk with a computer terminal and he/she will be provided with rough papers for calculations and a Pen/Pencil. After the test, candidate must leave the rough papers at the desk. Rough work cannot be done on any other paper/sheet, as nothing will be allowed inside the examination room/hall.
The list of Centres (Cities) where the CMAT-2019 will be conducted are given in Appendix-1 of the Information Brochure that can be downloaded from https://ntacmat.nic.in/. Applicants have to select any four cities of their choice while applying.
After the CMAT-2019 examination, the NTA will display answer keys & recorded responses of multiple choice questions at https://ntacmat.nic.in/ on dates to be notified later. Those candidates, not satisfied with the answer keys and recorded responses, may challenge them by filling online application form and paying a processing charge of Rs.1000/- per question. The processing charge can be paid by credit/debit card/Net banking.
The result will be compiled on the basis of final answer keys. The raw (actual) marks obtained by a candidate will be considered further for computation of the result of CMAT-2019.
Eligibility: Applicant must be a citizen of India and should hold a Bachelor’s degree in any discipline. Those appearing for the final year of Bachelor’s degree (10+2+3) whose result will be declared before commencement of admission for academic year 2019-20 can also apply.
There is no age limit for appearing in CMAT-2019.
Application: Application can be submitted online at https://ntacmat.nic.in/ up to 11.50 p.m on 30.11.2018. Application can be submitted in 4 steps: (i) Register for Online Application Form and get system generated Application Number (ii) Complete the Application Form (iii) Upload Scanned Images of aplicant’s Photograph and Signature (iv) Pay application fee by Debit/Credit Card/Net Banking/e-Challan. Steps can be done together or at different times.
Uploading of the scanned images of applicant’s Photograph and signature can be done up to 11.50 p.m. on 1.12.2018.
Application Fee: Application Fee is Rs.1400/- for males of General and OBC NCL categories. For Females and SC/ST/PwD/Transgender, the application fee is Rs.700/-. Fee can be paid through Credit/Debit Card/ Net Banking up to 11.50 p.m. and through e-challan up to bank hours on 1.12.2018.
Applicants should check the status of fee payment at NTA website https://ntacmat.nic.in/. If the status is ‘OK’, applicant will be able to take the printout of Confirmation Page.
Admit Cards can be printed from NTA’s website from 07.01.2019.
Result Declaration will be made on NTA’s website by 8th February, 2019. Score card has to be downloaded from https://ntacmat.nic.in/.
CMAT Score is being accepted by over 1000 participating institutes. Those interested in admissions must apply separately to the desired CMAT-2019 participating institutes with the CMAT Score 2019, and appear for selection procedure of that particular institute which may comprise of Group Discussion (GD) and Personal Interview (PI), if eligible.
