CM urges students to write on environmental issues; offers reward for best entry
Thiruvananthapuram: Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan has urged school students to look into matters concerning the environment and write about it in the form of letter, essay, speech or article. A letter, in this regard, written by the CM will be handed over to the 43 lakh school students in the state.
Chief Minister has also suggested special topics for the LP - UP students, high school – higher secondary school students.
What do you know about water? Rivers and streams, Don’t waste water, Human beings are one, Let’s plant trees and What did flood teach us - are the topic suggested for LP – UP students.
Water conservation – students’ duties and responsibilities, Waste management – challenges faced by Kerala, Human beings as one, Haritha Keralam objectives and thoughts, Climate change – precautions to be taken, What did flood teach us - are the topics given to high school and higher secondary school students.
Chief Minister also said in the letter that water is a source of life at the same time was cable of taking life away. So knowing more about it is very essential and is the duty of each student.
The best entries will be selected district wise and rewarded. Facilities have been arranged to send the scanned copies of the articles to CM’s phone through mobile phones after the entries are attested by teachers.
