CM, Education Minister to hold talks on reopening schools in Kerala
Thiruvananthapuram: Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan and Education Minister C Raveendranath will hold a meeting to decide on reopening of schools in Kerala.
The schools in Kerala are continuing to remain closed for more than 8 months due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
The education department has already handed over various proposals regarding the subject to the Chief Minister. Earlier, the CM expressed hope to reopen schools by January. A diplomatic decision should be taken on this matter.
The government has received numerous proposals on conducting public examination for classes 10 and 12 in the first phase of school reopening.
The decision on these exams are still pending as the government expects guidelines from central education agencies on fixing exam dates.
