Chettiyankinar HSS sets up 'education theatre' to overcome digital divide
Malappuram: Chettiyankinar higher secondary school here has begun a novel idea to bridge the digital divide. The school recently started a ‘model education theatre’, funded by the district panchayat.
The ‘education theatre’ has a conference hall, smart podium and an interactive board. In the long run, the school has plans to record the classes and store them in the digital library set up in the theatre.
“If the school is closed down again, teachers can take classes from the theatre. We have a facility to record the class and store it,” said E R Sivaprasad, a higher secondary teacher. Teachers will record the classes on respective subjects for the digital library. Students can access it later.
Apart from video classes, digital notes of the classes will also be available in the theatre.
