Central Armed Police Forces (Assistant Commandants) Examination 2021
Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) has invited applications for the Central Armed Police Forces (Assistant Commandants) Examination, 2021.
The examination is for recruitment of Assistant Commandants (Group A) in the Central Armed Police Forces (CAPF) - Border Security Force (BSF), Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF), Central Industrial Security Force(CISF), Indo-Tibetan Border Police (ITBP) and Sashastra Seema Bal (SSB). The tentative number of vacancies to be filled on the results of the examination is as follows: (i) BSF - 35 (ii) CRPF - 36 (iii) CISF- 67 (iv) ITBP- 20 (iv) SSB- - 1 (Total 159)
Eligibility: Applicant must have attained the age of 20 years and must not have attained the age of 25 years on 1st August, 2021 (he/she must have been born not earlier than 2nd August, 1996 and not later than 1st August, 2001). Upper age-limit will be relaxable for certain categories.
Educational Qualifications: Applicant must hold a Bachelor’s degree or possess an equivalent qualification. Possession of NCC ‘B’ or ‘C’ Certificate will be a desirable qualification. These qualifications will be given consideration at the time of Interview/Personality Test only. Details are given in the Notification at http://www.upsc.gov.in
Those who have appeared/are appearing for the qualifying examination can apply provisionally.
A candidate who has been finally selected on the basis of an earlier examination to the post of Assistant Commandants in any of the forces participating in the Central Armed Police Forces (Assistant Commandants) Examination will not be eligible to appear at a subsequent examination for recruitment of Assistant Commandants in the participating CAPFs.
Applicants must meet the prescribed Physical and Medical Standards for admission to Central Armed Police Forces (Assistant Commandants), Examination, 2021 as specified in the Notification.
Selection will be based on a Written Examination followed by Physical Standards/Physical Efficiency Tests and Medical Standards Tests for those qualifying in the written examination. The written Examination will be held on 8th August, 2021. The scheme of examination is given in detail in Appendix I of the Notification at http://www.upsc.gov.in
Application: Application can be submitted online at https://www.upsconline.nic.in latest by 1800 hours on 5.5.2021.
Application Fee: Application fee is excepted for Female/SC/ST categories. Other are required to pay a fee of Rs. 200/- either by remitting the money in any Branch of State Bank of India or by using Visa/Master/RuPay Credit/Debit Card or by using Internet Banking of SBI.
