CBSE to conduct pending exams in May, results in June
New Delhi: Secretary to Ministry of Human Resource Development Amit Khare said that the pending examination papers of CBSE Class X and Class XII will be conducted as soon as the lockdown is lifted.
“The pending papers can be completed in May and results will be announced in June,” the HRD secretary said.
He said that other options will be worked out if lockdown is extended beyond April 14.
For Class XII, important exams like Business Studies, Geography, Computer Science, Hindi, Home Science and Sociology are pending.
For admissions to higher education institutes, CBSE Class XII results need to be declared timely, he added.
Meanwhile, many entrance exams like JEE Main, NEET, KEAM etc have been postponed. NTA has also extended the deadlines of applications for various tests.
