Of these, 2780 are for MBBS and remaining 327 are for BDS. In the MBBS vacancies, 2045 are under General category. The vacancy positions in other categories for MBBS are as follows: OBC-45, SC- 403, ST-170. Under PWBD category for MBBS, the vacancy position is as follows: General-88, OBC-1, SC-19, ST-9.

For BDS, the category-wise vacancy is as follows: General-240, OBC-7, SC-43, ST-21. In the PWBD category, there are vacancies as follows: General-14, SC-1, ST-1.

The vacancies have arisen due to addition of new seats, resignation by students who joined allotted seats and due to the non-joining of students allotted in round 1.

As many as 1093 students who had taken allotment under All India Quota Category have given option for up-gradation of their allotment in round 2. Of them, 1064 have joined MBBS and 29 for BDS.

In the Deemed to be University category there are 4965 vacancies of which, 3137 are for MBBS and 1828 for BDS. The vacancies include those under Management/Paid, NRI, Muslim minority and Jain Minority categories.

In the AMU Open category, there are 52 seats remaining vacant of which 37 are for MBBS and 15 for BDS. In the BHU Open category, the vacancies are 70, 23 for MBBS and 47 for BDS. At Jamia Milia, for BDS, there are 18 seats under Open category lying vacant after round 1.
