All India Agri Entrance: Counselling from July 1
Kochi: Indian Council of Agricultural Research, Krishi Anusandhan Bhawan-II, Pusa, New Delhi - 110 012 has announced the schedule for the Counselling to the All India Quota seats based on the AIEEA-UG-2016.
ICAR's 21st All India Entrance Examination for Admission (AIEEA-UG-2016) to Bachelor degree programmes in Agriculture and Allied Sciences was for the 15% seats in accredited State Agricultural Universities, NDRI Karnal, CAU, BHU, Nagaland University, Visva Bharati and all seats at RLB CAU Jhansi for the academic session 2016-17.
Applicants have been required to appear for Counseling at A.P. Shinde Symposium Hall, NASC Complex (ICAR), Dev Prakash Shastri (DPS) Marg, (Opp. Todapur), Pusa, New Delhi-12 (on East Patel Nagar to Inder Puri Road) as per the revised Counseling Schedule, time and location map attached to the counselling letter.
Counseling will be in two sessions. Morning session will be form 9 am to 1 pm and the Afternoon session from 2 pm to 6 pm. Candidates have to report 30 minutes before the start of counselling. Reporting time will be 8.30 am for the morning session and 1.30 pm for the afternoon session.
The date of personal appearance/counseling (as per Overall Merit Rank) and the applicable Counseling Stream /Category (as per Overall Merit Rank) for the two sessions have been given in the Counselling letter. Counselling for Stream-B (Maths Group) will be held in both sessions on 1.7.2016 and the morning session on 2.7.2016. The Counselling for Stream-A will begin in the afternoon session on 2.7.2016 and will extend up to 7.7.2016.
Counseling will be offline (personal appearance) only.
The counseling of OBC candidates will be done along with the candidates of General category at their overall merit rank. The SC/ST candidates who do not wish to take admission in their respective category may opt for counseling with General + OBC category.
SC/ST candidates who do not wish to take admission in their respective reserve category may opt for counseling with General + OBC category.
Any leftover candidates of any stream / category who could not attend the counseling on date and scheduled time due to any reasons can attend the counselling on the last day. Such candidates will be allotted the seat and the university against any unfilled seat if available. Their counseling will be undertaken only after the counseling is over for all the candidates who have reported on scheduled date and time. In case the seats are exhausted before all the candidates called for personal appearance are covered, the allocation will be stopped.
In order to attend the counseling, it is essential to fill up the Counseling Form provided to the qualified candidates, copy of which is enclosed with the counselling letter, and submit the same at the time of counseling, duly filled in and signed along with self-attested photocopies of the required certificates mentioned, to the Counselling Committee.
The counseling form must have clear options for 4 choices of subjects and 6 choices of preferred Universities. In case, all seats in the subject at the university opted for, are exhausted by the time candidate reaches counseling desk, he/she shall have the option to provide fresh choice of subjects/universities wherever seat is available.
The preliminary certificate checking for eligibility of candidature, based on the submitted photocopies of certificates, will be done before counseling. However, their eligibility will be based on final re-checking of documents by the officials of admitting accredited universities at the time of admission during counseling.
While reporting for Counseling, applicant must ensure that all the eligibility conditions as laid down are fulfilled in toto by the applicant, including age limit, percentage of marks obtained in 10+2 Examination, proof of having studied Physics and Chemistry as compulsory subjects etc.
Candidate must bring the following original documents along with self-attested photocopy of
(i) All certificates and mark sheets/grade reports, in original related to Class X and XII, Transfer Certificate/ School Leaving Certificate, Character Certificate from the School last attended etc
(ii) Candidates from SC, ST and non-creamy layer of OBC categories, Original Certificate as applicable as per Central Govt. requirements and issued by the Competent Authority has to be produced
(iii) Medical Certificate in case of Physically Challenged (PC) candidates issued by Medical Officer of any Government Hospital with description of the kind and the degree of disability
(iv) In case the Date of Birth is not mentioned in Class X Certificate, Date of Birth (DOB) Certificate
(v) Copy of the e-Admit Card, counseling call/invitation letter downloaded from ICAR website
(vi) Three recent and clear passport size colour photographs same as uploaded on online Application
(vii) Domicile certificate
(viii) Authority letter/undertaking in the prescribed format (Annexure-III of IB), if the candidate is unable to attend the counseling personally
Registrars of all the concerned accredited Universities have been invited for the Counseling and granting admission. Candidate allotted seats will have to deposit part admission fee of Rs. 2,000/- in Cash and also submit the original certificates to the Registrar of the University as soon as the seat is allocated on the day of Counseling. Candidate is advised to take the receipt of the deposit as well as enquire about the date of reporting for registration at the Agricultural University from the Registrar. The balance amount of fee would have to be deposited by the candidate to the University on the date of registration as prescribed by the University for the purpose. Failure to deposit part admission fee and certificates to the allocated University will forfeit his/her claim for admission. Reserved category candidates must produce the required certificates in original and in the prescribed format. Any temporary or permanent withdrawal of original certificates will be governed as per the concerned University rules. ICAR has no objection if certificates are returned to the candidate after verification. In case of OBC candidates availing the benefits of reservation in Central Educational Institutions/Universities, the candidate will be required to produce a Central OBC certificate (Annexure-V in Information Bulletin) issued by the competent authority.
The proof of non-creamy layer shall be verified by the University authority before their admission (Original certificate has to be produced). Therefore, candidates while coming for counseling need to bring with them all the above required documents in original as well as photocopies thereof along with part fee in cash and call letter for counseling downloaded from ICAR website. The counseling of OBC candidates will be done along with the candidates of general category at their overall merit rank for reserved seats as applicable at the time of counseling in the Central Educational Institutions/Universities.
Candidate should note that after allotment of the seat, no refund of part fee will be made in case he/she withdraws admission for any reason.
In case of late reporting by the candidates for counseling due to any reason, he/ she will lose claim of admission due at his/ her rank. However, such candidate may be considered for admission against left out seats at the time of reporting.
Candidates admitted in any University located outside their domicile State will receive National Talent Scholarship (NTS) of Rs.2,000/- per month for the prescribed duration of Bachelor degree programme subject to maintaining satisfactory performance in studies (7.00/10.00 OGPA) throughout the period of study and good conduct, etc.
The exact seat position in the accredited Agricultural Universities will be known at the time of counselling.
