Thrissur: With the attention fully focused on the board examinations of Class 10 and 12, the online classes of other students have been neglected.
For the past three days, no classes were held on KITE Victers channel for students up to Class 9. No notification was issued on cancellation of the classes.
Also, the education department has strictly banned teachers from taking online classes on own initiative. Earlier, during the Onam holidays, notification was issued on cancellation of classes for students up to Class 9.
Meanwhile, the department is fully focused on completing the syllabus for Class 10 and 12 before January 31.
The first chapter of Physics for Plus Two was completed in 12 sessions during the initial days of online classes. But towards last, for five chapters, there had been only four sessions.
Nowadays a student of Class 10 or Class 12 have to take up to 8 sessions.
With this the students of lower classes are neglected with more than half of the syllabus to be completed.
At present, for students up to Class 8, all students will be promoted to next class through all-pass system. Government is mulling extension of the all-pass system to Class 9 this year.
The portions might be covered quickly after January.
