Admission to SF medical colleges: HC retains fee at Rs 5 lakh
Kochi: The Kerala High Court on Tuesday issued a fresh set of guidelines for the admission to the self-financing medical colleges in the state.
While the retaining the fee at Rs 5 lakh, the court wanted the students to submit a bond of Rs 6 lakh.
The court further directed the officials concerned to complete the admission process within August 31.
As per the directive, the second phase of counselling should be conducted on August 26 and the allotment list have to be published on August 27. The spot admission should be conducted on August 30 and 31.
Meanwhile, the court rebuked the state government and Commissioner for Entrance Examinations during the hearing of a plea related to the admission.
Stating that the government has become a puppet in the hands of managements, the court observed that efforts are being made by the government to help them.
Attempts are also being made to tweak the judgments issued by the court. Those making such moves have to face contempt of court action, it said.
