Madras School of Economics (MSE), recognized as Institute of Special Importance by the Government of Tamil Nadu, (has invited applications for admission to the M.A. Programs for the Academic Year 2021-22.

The 2-year Post-graduate programs leading to an M.A. degree is offered in (i) Actuarial Economics (ii) Applied Quantitative Finance (iii) Environmental Economics (iv) Financial Economics and (v) General Economics

Eligibility: Applicant should hold an undergraduate degree in Social sciences (including Commerce & Management), Sciences, or Engineering. Those appearing for their final year exams in the academic year 2021 may also apply.

Applicant should have studied Mathematics at plus two levels/equivalent including from National Institute of Open Schooling or should have completed Mathematical Economics course(s) at under-graduate level.

Applicant must have secured 55% marks (50% for OBC-NCL; 45% for SC/ST/PWD candidates) at the under-graduation level.Applicant should not have completed 25 years as of 1st July 2021. The intake under each of the five M.A. Programs will be 30, including a 35% quota for the resident students of Tamil Nadu.

Admission will be based on an entrance test to be held on 17.7.2021 at designated centers in India. In the case of tie-in entrance test marks, merit ranking will be based on a percentage of marks obtained in the qualifying examination and age.
