Rs 1,773.09 cr for education sector; guest lecturers to get better pay

Thiruvananthapuram: Kerala finance minister KN Balagopal has set aside Rs 1,773.09 cr for the education sector. An amount of Rs 95 crore will be spent on the development of school infrastructure.

Rs 344.64 cr is earmarked for the Midday Meal Scheme.For the autism park, a share of Rs 40 lakh has been set aside.

Higher education sector will get a special project worth Rs 816.79 cr. Balagopal also announced an inter-university academic festival.

Guest lecturers will get a better salary. Technology education wing has Rs 252.4 cr to spend on various projects.
