Kozhikode: The staff responsible for school buses should maintain details and phone numbers of studentswho avail the service. The directive was issued by officials during a mandatory class conducted by traffic police in Kozhikode for school bus drivers.
The class highlighted safety and security measures to be followed by the school buses. The drivers should observe students' behaviour, including their interaction with strangers, and ensure students are not bringing drugs or other banned substances.
At the same time, schools should refrain from appointing drivers who are facing criminal charges to operate their vehicles.
