Siddha Central Research Institute (Central Council for Research in Siddha, Chennai, Ministry of AYUSH, Government of India); Anna Govt. Hospital Campus, Arumbakkam, Chennai - 600106, has notified a Walk-in-Interview for the post of Junior Research Fellow (Siddha) and Junior Research Fellow (Chemistry).
The positions are for IMR research project titled ‘Study of Siddha Geopharmaceuticals-Process Validation and Structural Characterization’. There is one position is each category.
The essential and desirable qualifications are as follows:
Junior Research Fellow (Siddha): BSMS from NCISM (formerly CCIM) recognized Institution and enrolment in the Central/State Register of Indian Medicine/Siddha. Desirable (i) M.D. (Siddha) specialization in Gunapadam (Siddha Pharmacology)/ Nanju Maruthuvam (Siddha Toxicology) (ii) Research Experience in purification processes of metal and mineral based drugs, as per Siddha literatures and standardization.
Junior Research Fellow (Chemistry): M.Sc., Chemistry/Analytical Chemistry/ Inorganic Chemistry from as recognized University/ Institution. Desirable: (i) Candidates qualified in national level exams such as CSIR-JRF/NET, GATE will be preferred (ii) Research Experience in any reputed R&D institutions/Industries with well versed in analytical techniques.
The following conditions are applicable to both positions which will be on contractual basis: Duration will be 2 years or till completion of the project whichever is earlier. Engagement is initially for a period of one year and extendable based on the performance of the candidate. Age should not exceed 28 years (Relaxation will be given to SC/ST/OBC and women Candidates as per GOI Rules). Fellowship amount will be Rs. 31,000/- + HRA as applicable.

Candidates should bring two passport-size photos, original educational and experience certificates, and any identity proof along with self-attested copies of all certificates.
