Joint Entrance Examination (Main) 2022: Session 1 Application by 31.3.2022


Applications can be submitted at https://jeemain.nta.nic.in/ till 5 pm on 31st March 2022 for the first session of the Joint Entrance Examination (JEE Main) 2022, to be held from 16th April 2022 to 21st April 2022.
The JEE (Main) - 2022 will be conducted in 2 sessions for 2022-23 admissions.

The Joint Entrance Examination (JEE (Main)) comprises two papers. Paper 1 is conducted for admission to Undergraduate Engineering Programs (B.E/B. Tech) and Paper 2 is conducted for admission to B. Arch and B. Planning courses at NITs, IIITs, other Centrally Funded Technical Institutions (CFTIs), Institutions/Universities funded/recognized by participating State Governments. Paper 1 is also an eligibility test for JEE (Advanced), which is conducted for admission to IITs.

Mode of Examination: Paper 1 (B.E. /B. Tech.) having objective type Multiple choice questions from Mathematics, Physics and Chemistry will be conducted in Computer Based Test (CBT) mode only. In Paper 2A (B. Arch), Mathematics (Part-I) and Aptitude Test (Part-II), both sections having objective type Multiple choice questions will be in Computer Based Test (CBT) mode only and Drawing Test (Part-III) in pen and paper (offline) mode, to be attempted on drawing sheet of A4 size. Paper 2B (B. Planning) having objective type Multiple choice questions from Mathematics (Part-I), Aptitude Test (Part-II), and Planning Based Questions (Part-III) will be in Computer Based Test (CBT) mode only.

JEE (Main) - 2022 will have question papers in English, Hindi, Assamese, Bengali, Gujarati, Kannada, Malayalam, Marathi, Odia, Punjabi, Tamil, Telugu, and Urdu languages. The option of language for Question Paper should be exercised while filling up the Application Form online and it cannot be changed at a later stage.

Eligibility: There is no age limit for appearing in the JEE (Main) - 2022. Applicant should have passed the class 12/equivalent examination in 2020, 2021, or should be appearing for the same in 2022.

Subject combinations required in the qualifying examination will be as follows: (i) B.E/B.Tech- Passed qualifying examination with Physics and Mathematics as compulsory subjects along with one of the Chemistry/Biotechnology/Biology/ Technical Vocational subjects (ii) B.Arch - Passed qualifying examination with Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry (iii) B.Planning -Passed qualifying examination with Mathematics.
The details of the application fee are given in the Information Bulletin. Application Fee for the first session can be remitted online by 11.30 pm on 31.03.2022.

The Second session will be held from 24th May, 2022 to 29th May 2022 for which applications can be submitted from 8th April 2022 to 3rd May 2022.
