National Institute of Social Defence (NISD), Ministry of Social Justice & Empowerment, Government of India; Plot G-2, Sector-10, Dwarka New Delhi - 110075; has invited applications from students pursuing/passed out Graduate/Post Graduate Degree and Research Scholars enrolled in recognized University/Institution within India for the Internships being offered by the centre.
The ‘interns’ shall be given exposure to the functioning of various Divisions within NISD. Domains/ Areas available for Internship are (i) Senior Citizens Care (ii) Drug Abuse Prevention (iii) Other Social Defence Issues.
The period of Internship shall be at least four weeks but not exceeding 3 months.
Eligibility: Applicant should be pursuing/passed out Graduate/Post Graduate Degree or Research Scholars enrolled in recognized University/Institution within India from any background but preferably Social Science background-Social Work, Sociology, Psychology, Anthropology, Law etc..
The internship shall be available throughout the year based on the requirements of NISD. A maximum of 5 interns are taken for Internship at a time for each Division.
Applications received till 25 th of each month shall be allowed for subsequent month's internship.
