Thiruvananthapuram: The state government has decided to start higher secondary and vocational higher secondary admission process via online from July 29. Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan informed this in a press meeting here on Thursday.

Earlier, the education department informed that the admission will be open from July 24, Friday. Now, the Chief Minister confirmed that the online admission procedures will begin from July 29, Wednesday.

Due to the COVID-19 crisis, the admission procedure will be completely carried out on online mode. Students will be able to submit their application via online till August 14.

Help desks with teachers and non-teaching staff will function at all schools. All schools must continue the service of help desks until the closing date of admissions.

Students who are unable to submit applications by themselves can approach the help desk at the nearest school. Chief Minister also informed that district-regional-state level help desks will be established to clear doubts related to the online application.
