Kulathupuzha: A four-wheeler buggy made from the engine and other parts of old motorcycles won the first prize in the category of working models at the Kerala school science fair 2022. The off-road rider manufactured by Pranav R Krishna, a student of Class 10 at Govt Technical High School, Elanji in Ernakulam grabbed the attention of everyone who flocked to the fair.
The buggy, which comprises the steering wheel of a car and tyres of auto rickshaws can be driven at a speed of 40 kilometres per hour. Abhinand from Adimali and Sree Varadha from Palakkad bagged second and third prizes, respectively, in the working model category.
Augustine George from Govt Technical High School in Kadaplamattom obtained first prize in the electrical category for preparing a mobile application that can control a modern and safe wiring system.
J Sreehari (Ernakulam), Adithyan (Malappuram), Asna Fathima Shameer (Adimali), Amalnath (Harippad), and PS Safa (Kodungallur) are the other students who secured first prizes under different categories.
