Research programmes at Educational Planning and Administration institute: Apply by May 28
National Institute of Educational Planning and Administration (NIEPA), a Deemed to be University; 17-B, Sri Aurobindo Marg, New Delhi-110016 has invited applications for admission to the Integrated M. Phil - Ph. D Programme, Ph. D (Full-time) Programme and Ph. D (Part-time) Programmes for 2020-21, in areas related to Educational Policy, Planning and Administration from a broad inter-disciplinary Social Science perspective.
The National Institute of Educational Planning and Administration (NIEPA), a Deemed to be University fully funded by Ministry of Human Resource Development, Govt. of India is engaged in capacity building and research in Educational Policy, Planning and Administration.
Fellowships: All those selected for the integrated M.Phil- Ph.D. and Ph.D. (Full-time) shall be offered NIEPA fellowship. NET qualified candidates, who have been awarded Junior Research Fellowship by the UGC and who fulfil the required qualifications, are encouraged to apply for UGC fellowship. Part-time Ph.D candidates are not given any fellowship.
Eligibility: Applicants for the Integrated M.Phil-Ph.D. Programme or Ph.D. programme (Full time/Part-time), should have a minimum of 55% marks (50% for SC/ST/OBC (NCL)/ Differently-abled category) or its equivalent grade in Master's Degree in Social Sciences or allied disciplines from a recognized university. Those possessing Master’s degree in other areas may also be considered if he/she has teaching experience or experience of working in the area of Educational Policy, Planning and Administration. Applicant has to provide 3 copies of the brief write-up (in the prescribed format) on the proposed research topic of a contemporary issue within the broad framework of Educational Policy, Planning and Administration
Those applying for Ph.D. (Full-time) Programme, in addition should have an M.Phil. degree in an area closely related to Educational Planning and Administration and/or exceptionally brilliant academic record coupled with publications of high quality. M.Phil. graduates will be eligible for admission to the Ph.D. Programme after due scrutiny by the Admission Committee, if they obtain a FGPA of 5 or above on the ten point scale.
Those applying for Ph.D (Part-time) Programme, in addition should currently, be in full-time employment, should be a senior level educational functionary with a minimum of five years’ work experience in teaching/research in educational policy, planning and administration.
Those selected for Ph.D will have to compulsorily attend one-year full-time course work.
Selection: Initial short-listing of applications will he carried out on the basis of Eligibility criteria mentioned above. Short-listed candidates will he required to appear for a written test and those qualifying in the written test will be subjected to personal interview to assess their potential leading to final list of selected candidates, in order of merit.
Those possessing the eligibility qualifications must submit statement of marks at the time of written test on 13th June 2020.

Filled applications may be scanned and converted into one PDF file and research proposal as another pdf file. The 2 PDF files should be mailed to firstname.lastname@example.org. The file names should be saved by the Programme applied, followed by name of applicant.
