Post - M.Sc. Diploma in Radiological Physics at RCC: Apply by August 25
Regional Cancer Centre (RCC), ThiruvananthapuraM-695 011, has invited applications for admission to the Post-M.Sc. Diploma in Radiological Physics (Dip.R.P.) Course 2020-21.
Duration of the Course is 2 years including one year mandatory internship in RCC in Radiodiagnosis, Radiotherapy and Nuclear Medicine.
Eligibility: Applicant should be an Indian Citizen and should hold a recognised B.Sc. with Physics as one of the main subjects with 60% marks in aggregate in the subjects and a pass in Full time M.Sc. Physics with 60% marks in aggregate in the subjects.
Applicant should not be over 26 years of age as on 1 January 2020. For OBC, it would be 29 years and for SC/ST, 31 years. For physically challenged candidates, there is a relaxation of age by 10 years. Application: Applications can be submitted online at www.rcctvm.gov.in latest by 25 August 2020. Application fee for Rs.300/- (Rs.100/- for SC/ST Candidates) has to be paid by way of Demand Draft drawn in favour of ‘Director, Regional Cancer Centre’.
After submitting online application, applicant should take a printout of the filled Application Form, sign it, enclose self-attested copies of all required supporting documents and send it to ‘The Director, Regional Cancer Centre, Medical College Campus, Thiruvananthapuram-695011’ by Registered/Speed Post only to reach latest by 4.30 pm on 31 August 2020 in an envelope super-scribed, ‘Application for Post- M.Sc. DIP RP Course, 2020’.
Admission will be made on the basis of an entrance test with objective type questions of 2 hours duration followed by an interview. Twenty candidates will be shortlisted for interview on the basis of rank for entrance examination.
The entrance examination shall have multiple choice type questions carrying a maximum of 100 marks with questions from (i) M.Sc Level Physics (60%); B.Sc. Subsidiary level Mathematics (20%); B.Sc. Subsidiary level Chemistry (10%); Basic Human Physiology and Anatomy (10%). Interview carries 20 marks.
Entrance test will be conducted only if the number of eligible candidates is more than 20. Otherwise selection will be made based on marks scored in qualifying examination and Interview.
The course will commence on 5 October 2020. Students will be provided a stipend of Rs.10,000/-per month during the one year of internship which is subsequent to the successful completion of the Dip.R.P Course.
