Post graduate and research admissions at NBRC: Apply by March 31
National Brain Research Centre, a Deemed to be University; Manesar, Dist-Gurgram, Haryana, 122052, has notified admission to the Ph.D and M.Sc programmes for 2020.
National Brain Research Centre, Manesar, Haryana, an institute dedicated to Neuroscience Research and Education, an autonomous institute funded by the Department of Biotechnology, Government of India and declared as an Institution of Excellence by Govt. of India, has announced the admissions for 2020.
NBRC admits students with diverse academic backgrounds that include various branches of Life Sciences, Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics, Medicine, Electrical Engineering, Electronics and Communications Engineering, Computer Science and Information Technology.
Eligibility: Ph.D (Neuroscience): Applicant should hold a Master's degree or equivalent in any branch of Science such as Life Sciences / Physics / Chemistry / Mathematics / Statistics / Computer applications / Pharmacy / Veterinary Science / Psychology from a recognized Institute / University. Those who have completed a minimum of a four-year course leading to Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Engineering / Technology / Medicine from a recognized Institute / University are also eligible.
M. Sc (Neuroscience): Applicant should hold a Bachelor's degree or equivalent in any branch of Science such as Life Sciences/Physics/Chemistry/Mathematics/Statistics/ Computer applications/ Pharmacy/Veterinary Science/Psychology/Engineering/ Technology/Medicine from a recognized Institute/University.
Those appearing for the final year of the qualifying examination are also eligible to apply.
Applicant should have at least 55% (50% for SC / ST / PH candidates) marks or an equivalent grade or grade point average from Secondary (10th) examination onwards. The percentage should be computed up to two decimal points to determine eligibility.
Admission Channels: For PhD: Applications can be submitted through following channels (i) Joint Graduate Entrance Examination for Biology and Interdisciplinary Life Sciences (JGEEBILS-2020) (ii) Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering (GATE-2019/GATE-2020), only for selected subjects (iii) Joint Entrance Screening Test (JEST-2020) (iv) Junior Research Fellowship (JRF) examination in selected subjects conducted by CSIR/UGC/DBT/ ICMR (v) UGC-NET Lectureship qualified on/after Dec 2018
For M.Sc: Joint Graduate Entrance Examination for Biology and Interdisciplinary Life Sciences (JGEEBILS-2020) examination. Candidates who join the M.Sc. programme will have option to continue in the Ph.D. programme upon fulfilling the required criteria.
Online application can be submitted from 26th December, 2019.
Last date for receiving applications at NBRC for Ph.D. and M.Sc. programmes is 31st March 2020.
