Director of Medical Education, Government of Kerala has invited applications for admission to the Post Basic Diploma Courses in Specialty Nursing offered at (i) Govt. Nursing Colleges at Thiruvananthapuram, Kottayam and Kannur.
The Specialisations available include (i) Cardiothoracic Nursing (ii) Critical Care Nursing (iii) Emergency and Disaster Nursing (iv) Neonatal Nursing (v) Neuro Science Nursing (vi) Nurse Practitioner in Midwifery (vii) Oncology Nursing. Only Indian citizens of Kerala origin are eligible for admission to Post Basic Diploma Nursing courses unless otherwise specified. Candidates who have been resident of Kerala for a period of not less than 5 years will also be treated at par with candidates of Kerala origin for the limited purpose of admissions.
Applicant should have passed the B.Sc. Nursing Degree (Regular Course)/Post Basic B.Sc. Nursing (Regular course)/General Nursing and Midwifery Course with 50% marks, with Physics, Chemistry and Biology subjects in 10+2 level, recognized by the Indian Nursing Council and the concerned State Nursing Council. Applicant should have obtained registration from the Kerala Nurses and Midwives Council. Those who have studied outside Kerala shall have to submit copy of the registration certificate of the concerned Nursing Council of the state from where they have qualified.
The upper age limit for General Merit candidates shall be 45 years and for Service candidates 49 years as on the last date for submission of application.
Application can be submitted at www.lbscentre.kerala.gov.in latest by 21 November 2020. Application Fee for General candidates is Rs.800/- and that for SC / ST candidates, Rs.400/-.
The entrance examination for admission will be held at LBS Centre Head Quarters at Palayam, Thiruvnananthapuram on 28 November 2020.
