Post Basic B.Sc. Nursing in Kerala: Apply by October 30
Director of Medical Education Kerala has invited applications for admission to the Post Basic B.Sc Nursing Programme offered at Government and Self-financing Colleges for 2020-21.
Nativity: Applicant should be an Indian citizen. Persons of Indian Origin (PIO)/Overseas Citizen of India (OCI) are also eligible without eligibility for any reservation.
Those seeking admission to the course will be categorized as Keralite and Non- Keralite.
A person of Kerala origin will be categorized as a ‘Keralite’. Children of All India Service (AIS) officers (Non-Keralites) allotted to Kerala cadre are deemed to be ‘Keralites’. But they will not be eligible for Communal/Special /Persons with Disabilities reservation.
Non-Keralite: A person who is not of ‘Kerala origin’ but (i) has undergone qualifying course in Kerala and is son/daughter of Non- Keralite parents belong to Government of India/Defence Service, posted to Kerala or (ii) has undergone qualifying course in Kerala and who is son/daughter of Non-Keralite parents belong to Government of India/Defence Service, posted to Kerala or (iii) has been a resident of Kerala state for a period of 5 (five) years within the period of 12 (twelve) years of his/her study or (iv) has undergone his/her school studies in Kerala from standard VIII to XII will be categorized as ‘Non-Keralite Category. Non-Keralite candidates will be considered against ‘State Merit’ seats only and will not be eligible for Communal/Persons with Disabilities reservation.
Academic Eligibility: Applicant should have passed +2/Equivalent examination with Physics, Chemistry and Biology as optional subjects. They should have also passed General Nursing and Midwifery Course (GNM), from a recognized institution with minimum 50% marks in aggregate.
Age: The upper age limit for General candidates shall be 45 years and for Service candidates 49 years as on the last date for submission of application.
Application: Application can be submitted only online at https://lbscentre.in/ latest by 30 October 2020. Prospectus can also be downloaded from here.
Application fee is Rs. 800/- for General candidates and Rs. 400/- for SC / ST candidates. This may be paid online or by using the chalan (that can be downloaded while applying) at any branch of Federal Bank.
Selection of candidates will be based on the Entrance Examination to be held on 13 November 2020.
