Ph.D and M.Sc Admissions National Brain Research Centre
National Brain Research Centre, Manesar, Gurugram, Haryana-122052, an autonomous institute funded by the Department of Biotechnology, Government of India, and also a Deemed-to-be University dedicated to Neuroscience Research and Education, has notified the admissions for Indian Nationals for the Ph.D. and M.Sc. (Neuroscience) programmes-2021.
Eligibility: Ph.D. (Neuroscience): Applicant should hold a Master’s degree/equivalent in any branch of Science such as Life Sciences / Physics / Chemistry / Mathematics / Statistics / Computer applications / Pharmacy / Veterinary Science / Psychology. Those who have completed a minimum of a four-year course leading to Bachelor’s degree/equivalent in Engineering / Technology / Medicine are also eligible.
M.Sc. (Neuroscience): Applicant should have a Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in any branch of Science such as Life Sciences / Physics / Chemistry / Mathematics / Statistics / Computer applications / Pharmacy / Veterinary Science / Psychology / Engineering / Technology / Medicine.
For both Programs, applicant should have at least 55% (50% for SC / ST / PH candidates) marks/equivalent grade/grade point average from secondary (10th) examination onwards. Those appearing for the final year of the qualifying examination are also eligible to apply for both Programs.
Applicant for Ph.D. Programme will be short-listed for interviews to be held at NBRC based on score in any one of (i) Joint Graduate Entrance Examination for Biology and Interdisciplinary Life Sciences (JGEEBILS-2021) (ii) Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering (GATE-2020/GATE-2021), only for selected subjects (iii) Joint Entrance Screening Test (JEST-2021) (iv) Junior Research Fellowship (JRF) examination in selected subjects conducted by CSIR-UGC/DBT/ICMR (v) UGC-NET Lectureship qualified on/after Dec. 2018
Applicant for M. Sc. Should have taken Joint Graduate Entrance Examination for Biology and Interdisciplinary Life Sciences (JGEEBILS-2021). Those who join M.Sc. programme will have option to continue in the Ph.D. programme upon fulfilling the required criteria. Applicants will be short-listed for a two-tier interview based on their performance in the JGEEBILS examination.

Last date of receipt of application at NBRC for M.Sc. program is 30th April, 2021 and that for Ph.D. program is 31st May 2021. Interview for the 2 programs will be held in May 2021.
