The Indian Institute of Mass Communication, New Delhi has invited applications for its PG Diploma courses in Journalism. The courses are offered at its nodal campus at Delhi and regional campuses at Dhenkanal in Odisha, Amravati in Maharashtra, Aizawl in Mizoram, Jammu in J&K and Kottayam in Kerala.
I. Post-graduate Diploma in English Journalism (62 seats in Delhi and Dhenkanal, 15 each in all other centres)
II. Post-graduate Diploma in Hindi Journalism (62 seats in Delhi)
III. Post-graduate Diploma in Radio & TV Journalism (Medium of Instruction: Bilingual - English & Hindi) (46 seats in Delhi)
IV. Post-graduate Diploma in Advertising and Public Relations (Medium of Instruction: Bilingual - English & Hindi) (70 seats in Delhi)
V. Post-graduate Diploma in Odia Journalism (23 seats in Dhenkanal)
VI. Post -graduate Diploma in Urdu Journalism (15 seats in Delhi)
VII. Post-graduate Diploma in Marathi Journalism (15 seats in Amravati)
VIII. Post-graduate Diploma in Malayalam Journalism (15 seats in Kottayam)
Qualification: Bachelor’s degree in any discipline. Those who have appeared / are appearing for a degree examination are also eligible to apply.
Age: For general category candidates –Born on 1 August 1993 or later. For SC/ST/Physically Handicapped candidates – Born on 1 August 1988 or later. For OBC category – Born on 1 August 1990 or later.
Only Indian nationals are eligible for the PG Diploma Courses. In addition, five seats are available in each course for NRIs/NRI-sponsored candidates. The applicants for NRI / NRI sponsored seats are not required to appear for a written examination. However, they will be required to appear for Group Discussion /Interview, or both.
Eligible candidates will be called for a written entrance examination on 27th May 2018 at New Delhi / Ahmedabad / Aizawl / Amravati / Bengaluru / Bhopal / Chennai / Dehradun / Dhenkanal / Guwahati / Hyderabad / Jammu / Kolkata / Kottayam / Lucknow / Mumbai / Patna / Ranchi / Raipur / Srinagar.
The examination for the Journalism Course in Urdu will be held on 26th May 2018 at New Delhi / Bhopal / Srinagar / Jammu / Hyderabad / Lucknow / Mumbai / Patna and Odia will be held on 26th May 2018 at Dhenkanal. The written exam for Marathi Journalism will be held on 26th May 2018 at Mumbai, Amravati and Malayalam Journalism will be held at Kottayam.
The short-listed candidates will be called for an interview/group discussion during the last week of June/first week of July 2017 in New Delhi.

Online: Applications can be filled online at www.iimc.nic.in and fees can be paid online.
Offline: Candidates can download the application form, fill it and send by post along with the Demand Draft for application fee drawn in favour of ‘IIMC, New Delhi’ to the address ‘The Additional Director General (T&A), Indian Institute of Mass Communication, Aruna Asaf Ali Marg, New Delhi-110067’.
The candidates can submit one Application Form for either Journalism (Hindi) or Journalism (English) as the written entrance examination and question paper will be common for above courses. Similarly, the candidates can submit one Application Form for either Journalism (Urdu)/ Journalism (Odia)/Journalism (Marathi)/ Journalism (Malayalam).
The last date for online application and for the dully filled applications to reach the prescribed address is 1 May, 2018.
