Online MTech course in Digital Manufacturing for working professionals at BITS; Apply by June 22
Birla Institute of Technology & Science (BITS), Pilani has invited applications from engineering professionals for admission to the M.Tech in Digital Manufacturing under the Work Integrated Learning Programme.
The Programme has been designed in the backdrop of the anticipated requirements of the industry expected to make production systems faster, increase efficiency, elevating mass customization to new levels etc. and the need to build skill in areas such as 3D printing or Additive manufacturing, Logistics and supply chain optimisation, Autonomous equipment, Industrial IoT etc.
This is a four-semester Work Integrated Learning Programme designed for engineering professionals working in Automotive, Manufacturing, and related industries, and aims to develop skills required to build and run factories of the future.
The programme prepares engineering professionals in the domains of Mechanical, Electrical, Electronics, Computer Science, etc., working in roles such as Manufacturing, Production, R&D, Maintenance, etc. by helping them acquire competencies in the high-demand areas of Additive manufacturing, High precision manufacturing, Flexible manufacturing systems, Mechanisms and Robotics, Industrial IoT, etc.
Eligibility: Applicants must be employed professionals working in Engineering organisations, and holding B.E./ B.Tech. or equivalent in relevant domains with at least 60% aggregate marks. A minimum of 1 year of work experience in relevant domains is required to apply.
Lectures are conducted live via online classes. These lectures can be attended via the internet using a computer from any location. These online classrooms offer similar levels of interactivity as regular classrooms at the BITS Pilani campus. Classes for students admitted during the period May-June 2020 will begin in July 2020. The class schedule is announced within 1 week of completion of the admission process.
The online lectures are conducted usually over weekends for a total of 7-8 hours per week. Those who miss a lecture can also access the recorded lecture on the internet. Learners can access engaging learning material at their own pace which includes recorded lectures from BITS Pilani faculty members, course handouts and recorded lab content where applicable.
