Institute of Management Studies, Banaras Hindu University, Varanasi, has invited applications for admission to the wo-year, four-semester Post-Graduate Management courses in Business Administration for the Academic Batch 2021-23.
Programmes offered are (i) Master of Business Administration - (MBA) and (ii) Master of Business Administration-International Business (MBA - IB). Both have an intake of 59 seats each. Both Programmes are offered with specialization/elective in Marketing/ Human Resource Management / Finance / Operations Management/ Information Technology. MBA-IB offers Global Business Operations also as a specialization. All specializations are offered subject to the minimum required strength of 5 students in the specialization.
Eligibility: Applicant should hold a graduate degree under 10+2+3 pattern or a Degree in Agriculture, Technology, Medicine, Education or Law or a Post-graduate degree in any discipline. Applicant must have secured a minimum of 50% marks in aggregate (45% for SC/ST) at the qualifying examination. Applicant should have a valid score in the Common Admission Test (CAT) 2020 of Indian Institute of Management.
Selection: Applicants will be short-listed on the basis of CAT 2020 score and will be called for Group Discussion and Interview which will be conducted in the Institute as per schedule decided by the Admission Committee of the Institute. Weightage for Group Discussion and Interview Score will be 30%. Admission to the Programs will be made on the basis of combined merit of the candidates in CAT conducted by IIM (50%), Academic Records (20%) and Group Discussion & Personal Interview (30%).
