MBA in Liberal Studies and Management at IIM Kozhikode: Apply by March 31
India Institute of Management (IIM), Kozhikode has invited applications for admission to the Post Graduate Programme (Master of Business Administration) in Liberal Studies & Management (LSM) offered for 2020.
It is a two year six term, full time, residential programme that provides in-depth coverage in terms of lessons from liberal studies and core management principles in the first year followed by advanced courses and electives in the second year.
It also has a module on International and Rural immersion that the participants need to engage with in term IV (second year). Master’s thesis in term VI (second year) is another unique feature of the course.
Eligibility: Applicant must hold a duly recognized bachelor’s degree in any discipline with minimum 50% marks or equivalent CGPA or should hold a duly recognized Post-graduate degree in any discipline with minimum 50% marks or equivalent CGPA. SC/ST/PWD applicants have a relaxation of 5% in the minimum mandated marks.
Applicants must possess a valid score in CAT 2019 /GRE/ GMAT, meeting the minimum cut-offs (Percentiles) in CAT/GRE/GMAT, as specified. General category applicants need percentile of 80 for Overall and Verbal [Verbal Ability and Reading Comprehension (CAT), Verbal Reasoning (GMAT&GRE)]. For OBC NCL and EWS, it would be 70 each. For SC, it would be 60 each and for ST, 55 each. All applicants need a cut off percentile of 50 in Other Sections [Data Interpretation & Logical Reasoning and Quantitative Ability (CAT), Quantitative Reasoning (GMAT&GRE)].
Selection: A three-stage selection process will be adopted for the admissions to PGP-LSM. Stage-I is the Online application. Eligible applicants, who have successfully completed the online application, will be considered for stage-II of the selection process. Stage-II is the Short-listing of applicants to be done for each category, based on an Aggregate Index Score (AIS) computed based on the performance in the verbal section of the aptitude test (CAT/GMAT/GRE), academic performance in Class X & XII, work experience and gender diversity score. Stage-III will be the Writing Ability Test and Personal Interview. The short-listed candidates will have to appear for a Writing Task, followed by a Personal Interview (PI) to be conducted at Bengaluru, Delhi, Kolkata, Mumbai and Kozhikode during April/May 2020.
A category-wise merit list will be prepared based on the final scores. Admission offers will be made to the candidates following the merit list. Results are likely to be declared during May/June 2020.
Reservation will be as per the Government of India reservation policy for admission to Central Educational Institutions (CEIs). Reservation is available to candidates belonging to EWS, OBC, SC, ST and PwD candidates as per the central government norms applicable.

Those appearing for the final year of Bachelor’s degree/equivalent qualifying examination and those who have completed degree requirements and are awaiting results can also apply. Such candidates, if selected, will be allowed to join the programme. However the admission will be held provisional till the original degree certificates and the mark lists are produced for verification.
Application Fee is Rs.2,000/-, payable at the time of submitting the online application.
Session starts in July, 2020.
