M.Tech admissions in Kerala: Apply by September 19
Department of Technical Education, Government of Kerala, has invited applications for admission to the Post Graduate Degree Programmes in Engineering for 2020-21.
The details of institutions offering P.G. Course in various disciplines towards which centralized allotment will be done and the intake are given in the Annexure A,B and C respectively of the Prospectus that can be downloaded from http://admissions.dtekerala.gov.in. It includes the List of M.Tech Programmes in (i) Government & Aided institutions (ii) Government Controlled Self Financing Institutions and (iii) Self Financing Courses being run in the Government Aided Engineering College on Self-financing basis for which DTE is to allot 50% of the total seats.
The 50% Seats in Private Self Financing Engineering Colleges in the State will be filled by the concerned Principals based on the Rank list published by the Director of Technical Education as per the reservation norms mentioned in Clause IV of the Prospectus. In the absence of candidate in the rank list, other eligible candidates can be considered.
Eligibility: Applicant should be an Indian National and should have passed the Engineering Degree examination with a minimum of 60% (54% for SEBC (OBC)) aggregate marks. SC/ST applicants need only a pass in the Engineering Degree course. Those who have passed AMIE / AMIETE Examinations and having valid GATE score and a minimum of 55% marks for section B in AMIE/AMIETE examination are also eligible to apply.
Those who have appeared for the final semester examination can also apply, provided he /she has passed all the subjects up to and including the 6th semester exam (8th semester for B. Arch students). Confirmation of admission of such candidates shall be subject to the production of qualifying degree before the date stipulated by the affiliated University.
Selection: Admission will normally be restricted to those with valid GATE score. However, this stipulation is relaxed in the case of Sponsored candidates. In case seats remain vacant due to lack of candidates with valid GATE score, candidates from Kerala State without valid GATE score will be considered against such vacancies. If seats are still remaining vacant, candidates from other States will be considered for admission.
Application: Applications can be submitted online, latest by 5 pm on 19th September, 2020 at http://admissions.dtekerala.gov.in
Application Fee: Application fee is Rs. 500/-. It is Rs.250/-in case of SC/ST applicants. The fee can be paid online (Internet Banking/UPI payments/Credit or Debit card transactions).
