M.Sc Forensic Science at Calicut University; entrance exam on August 17
Directorate of Admissions, University of Calicut, has invited applications for admission to the M.Sc Forensic Science Programme under the regular stream, for the academic year 2019-20, to be held at Kerala Police Academy, Thrissur (KEPA).
Eligibility: Applicant should possess B.Sc. Degree in Forensic Science/ B.Voc Forensic Science/B.Voc. Applied Microbiology & Forensic Science / B.Sc. Zoology/ B.Sc. Botany/ B.Sc. Chemistry/ B.Sc. Physics/B.Sc. Microbiology/ B.Sc. Medical Microbiology/ B.Sc. Biochemistry/ B.Sc. Medical Biochemistry/B.Sc. Biotechnology/B.Sc. Genetics/ B.Tech Computer Science/ B.Tech Information Technology / BCA/ B.Sc. Computer Science/ B.Sc. Information Technology with at least 60% marks or equivalent grades of Calicut University or equivalent or recognized. OBC/OEC candidates are eligible to relaxation up to 5%. SC/ST candidates need only to get a pass.
Application: Applications can be submitted online at http://www.cuonline.ac.in/ latest by 5 pm on 14.08.2019. Application and entrance examination fee of Rs. 370/- (SC/ST - Rs.160/-) has to be remitted latest by 13.08.2019 only, through the link 'Fee Remittance' at www.cuonline.ac.in or the link 'Instant Web Payment System (CUIWPS)' at www.uoc.ac.in.
The printout of the online application and challan/payment slips need not be sent to the University, but should be retained with the applicant to be submitted if getting admission.
Admission will be based on an entrance test conducted by the University. The cut-off marks for the entrance examination for the M.Sc. Forensic Science programme shall be 50% for General category, 45% for OBC/OEC, and 40% for SC-ST categories.
Entrance Exam will be on 17 August 2019. Result will be published on 19 August 2019. Admissions will be held on 21 August 2019. Classes commence on 26 August 2019. Admissions will be closed on 24 October 2019.
