Candidates who wish to participate in the Mop-up counselling (Spot Admission) to fill up the vacant seats in MBBS course to be conducted Commissioner for Entrance Examinations (CEE) Kerala, should enter the home page at www.cee.kerala.gov.in and download the slip by clicking the link ‘ Mop-up counselling Slip’ available in the candidate portal by 5 pm on 6 August 2019.
The Mop-up counselling slip is essential for participating in the admission process.
The Mop-up counselling (Spot Admission) will be held at Travancore International Convention Centre, Sports Hub, Kariavattom, Thiruvananthapuram. It will start at 10 am on 07.08.2019 and will continue on 08.08.2019, in case the counselling is not completed on 7 August 2019.
Those included in the Kerala State medical rank list published by the CEE, alone can participate in the Mop-up counselling. Those who stand admitted through All India counselling cannot participate in the Mop-up counselling.
Candidates coming under the medical rank up to 10,000 must report in the morning session beginning at 10 am on 7 August 2019 and those with Medical rank after 10,000 must report afternoon session at 2 pm on 7 August 2019.
Conditions of mop-up counselling: Transfer will not be permitted from a Government Medical College to another Government Medical College and from a Self Financing Medical College to another Self Financing Medical College.
Transfer will be permitted from a Self Financing Medical college to a Government Medical colleges and vice-versa.
Transfer from NRI seat to Government/Minority seat will be permitted between two Self Financing colleges or in the same college, even if it is for the same course.
Fees: Those getting allotment during the mop-up counselling have to remit the specified fee, at the venue itself, by way of Demand Draft drawn from a Nationalized Bank in favour of the Commissioner for Entrance Examinations payable at Thiruvananthapuram. The fee to be remitted are as follows (i) MBBS in Government Medical Colleges-Rs.25,000/-. (ii) MBBS in Government/Minority/ quota in Self Financing Medical Colleges-Rs.3 lakhs (iii) MBBS under NRI quota in Self Financing Medical Colleges-Rs.5 lakhs.
Candidates, who have already remitted any fee amount to the Commissioner for Entrance Examinations as per the earlier allotments, need to submit the Demand Draft for the balance amount only. However, those admitted in Engineering/Architecture and Pharmacy courses of Self financing colleges will have to pay the full amount as specified above. More time will not be allowed to produce Demand Draft.
After Mop-up counselling no cancellation of admission is permissible. Any candidate who applies for TC/cancellation of admission under any circumstances, after the last allotment notified by CEE will have to pay liquidated damages as in clause 12.2.4.(a)(ii) of the prospectus.
Documents to be produced: Candidates who have got an admission in any course/college as per the previous allotments conducted by the CEE should produce NOC, Possession Certificate & the copy of the eligibility certificate and the amount of DD mentioned above.
Those included in the Kerala State Medical rank list and who have got admission in any of the Govt. Approved Arts & Science colleges in Kerala can also participate in the Mop-up counselling with NOC, Possession Certificate, the copy of the eligibility certificate and the amount of DD mentioned above. Other candidates can participate only with TC and originals of the uploaded certificates.
If any vacancy arises in the Mop-up counselling, after considering the candidates in the NRI list published by CEE, other candidates in the medical rank list with original NRI documents will be considered irrespective of their domicile.
The Mop-up counselling for BDS course will be notified later.
