Joint Admission Test for Masters 2022 on February 13: Applications from August 30
The Joint Admission Test for Masters (JAM), an examination for admission to M.Sc. (Two-Year), Joint M.Sc.-Ph.D., M.Sc.-Ph.D. Dual Degree, M.Sc.-M.S. (Research)/Ph.D. Dual Degree, M.Sc.-M.Tech. Dual Degree and other Post-Bachelor's Degree Programmes at Indian Institutes of Technology (IITs) at Bhilai, Bhubaneshwar, Bombay, Delhi, (ISM) Dhanbad, Gandhinagar, Guwahati, Hyderabad, Indore, Jodhpur, Kanpur, Kharagpur, Madras, Mandi, Palakkad, Patna, Roorkee, Ropar, Tirupati and (BHU) Varanasi, for the Academic Session 2022-23 will be held on 13th February 2022.
JAM score will also be used by IISc Bangalore for admission to Integrated Ph.D. programmes. JAM score will also be used by other centrally funded technical institutions such as NITs, IIEST Shibpur, SLIET Punjab, and IISERs for admission to their postgraduate programmes.
JAM will have Test Papers in Biotechnology (BT), Chemistry (CY), Economics (EN), Geology (GG), Mathematics (MA), Mathematical Statistics (MS) and Physics (PH). The papers in Biotechnology, Mathematical Statistics and Physics will be held in the Forenoon and those in Chemistry, Economics, Geology and Mathematics in the Afternoon session on February 13, 2022. Examination time will be published on the website and printed on the Admit Cards.
structure and Mode: JAM 2022 will be conducted as a Computer Based Test (CBT) in online mode only. A candidate can appear for either one test paper or two test papers by paying an additional fee for the second test paper.
The pattern of Test Papers: JAM 2022 Test papers will be fully objective type, with three patterns of questions: (i) Multiple Choice Questions (MCQ), (ii) Multiple Select Questions (MSQ) and (iii) Numerical Answer Type (NAT) questions. The pattern of the Test Papers and Question papers of previous years are available at https://jam.iitr.ac.in/.
ER & MEQ: Eligibility requirement & Minimum Educational Qualifications (MEQs) for Admission will be as follows. Applicant should have secured at least 55% or 5.5 out of 10 for General/OBC (NCL)/EWS category candidates and 50% or 5.0 out of 10 for SC/ST and PwD category candidates. In the qualifying degree, the aggregate marks or CGPA/CPI without rounding-off (taking into account all subjects, including languages and subsidiaries, all years combined) Proof of having passed the qualifying degree with the required eligibility as specified by the admitting institute should be submitted by September 30, 2022.

Application: Application can be submitted online from August 30, 2021, to 11th October 2021 through the Application Processing System to be made available at https://jam.iitr.ac.in/.
Application Fee: Applications fee for one paper Female and SC/ST/PwD is 750/- and for all others, it would be Rs.1500/-. For appearing for 2 papers, the fee is Rs.1050/- and Rs.2100/- respectively. For more details, visit https://jam.iitr.ac.in/.
